Health Savings Accounts

All Bronze plans are eligible for a Health Savings Account (HSA). HSAs can be used to pay for qualified medical expenses.

Georgia Access partners with licensed agents to help Georgians explore and enroll in affordable health coverage.

Agents and agency administrative staff must complete Georgia Access certification  requirements to participate and support consumers.

Get started in 4 simple steps

Step 1: Get Certified
Complete your Plan Year 2027 certification training through the LMS. All agents and agency administrative staff must pass the required assessment to support consumers during Open Enrollment.

Step 2: Set Up Your Agent Portal Profile
Once certified, create your Agent Portal profile based on your role. This begins the process of being approved to assist consumers.

Step 3: Establish Appointments with Issuers
Work directly with participating Qualified Health Plan (QHP) and Stand-alone Dental Plan (SADP) issuers to finalize appointments.

Step 4: Start Enrolling Consumers
Use the Georgia Access Agent Portal or an approved Enhanced Direct Enrollment (EDE) partner to assist consumers during Open Enrollment.

Agent requirements

To assist consumers through Georgia Access, agents must:

  • Hold an active Georgia Accident & Sickness license.
  • Complete Georgia Access certification training and pass the final assessment with a score of 80% or higher.
  • Create a Georgia Access Agent Portal Profile.
  • Establish appointments with participating insurance companies offering Qualified Health Plans (QHPs) and Stand-alone Dental Plans (SADPs).
  • Assist consumers through the Georgia Access Agent Portal or an approved Enhanced Direct Enrollment (EDE) partner platform.

New agents and agency administrative staff: Create and activate a Georgia Access Agent Portal profile.

Returning agents and agency administrative staff: Log in using your existing credentials to review or update your profile information.

Additional Certification Information

Agency Administrative Staff

Agency administrative staff who support agents or agencies must complete Georgia Access certification training.

Limited Subagents

Limited Subagents must complete the Agency Administrator certification training and are limited to administrative functions. Limited Subagents should not complete the agent certification training and cannot function as agents within Georgia Access.

Continuing Education Credits

Georgia resident agents with an active license may earn Continuing Education (CE) credits upon completion of Georgia Access certification training:

Returning resident agents receive one (1) CE credit.

New resident agents receive three (3) CE credits.

Limited Subagents are required to take the agency administrative staff certification and are restricted to administrative roles only. These users do not require agent certification and cannot function as agents within Georgia Access.

Only resident agents with an active license are eligible for Continuing Education (CE) credits upon completing certification training.

  • New resident agents receive three CE credits
  • Returning resident agents receive one CE credit
