Before helping consumers enroll, you must set up and activate your Georgia Access Agent Portal profile. The steps to get started vary based on your role and whether you are an independent agent or affiliated with an agency.
Understand your role before creating your profile
Depending on your role, the process for setting up your profile in the Georgia Access Agent Portal will differ. Review the portal setup responsibilities for your role below before proceeding.
Independent agent
You are not affiliated with an agency. You must create a new agency profile using your first and last name followed by “Insurance” or “Agency” (e.g., Jane Smith Insurance).
Agency manager
You manage an agency.
- If you do not have an existing agent/agency manager profile and need to create a new agency, you will use the setup tool to create both the agency and your profile simultaneously.
- If you have an existing agent/agency manager profile or the agency already exists, please contact the Georgia Access contact center at 1-888-312-4237 to have the accounts affiliated correctly.
Agency-affiliated agent
Your agency manager will create your portal profile.
Administrative staff
Your agency manager will create your profile. Based on your responsibilities, you will be assigned either:
- Level 1 (limited access)
- Level 2 (managerial access)
Limited subagents
Your agency manager will create your portal profile. Based on your responsibilities, you will be assigned either:
- Level 1 (limited access)
- Level 2 (managerial access)
Important: Limited subagents cannot function as agents within Georgia Access and are required to take and pass the agency administrator certification training.
Agency administrators’ access levels

- Help consumers begin or update applications (without submitting them)
- Accept or decline agent designation requests on behalf of a certified agent

Note: L1 Admins are prohibited from accessing Level 2 functionality.
Level 2 – Managerial access
- Add or remove certified agent records and manage agent records
- Move consumers between certified agents within the agency
- Update agency information including operating hours and contact details
- Create new certified agent accounts and new Admin accounts within the agency
- Disable Admin or agent accounts as needed
Note: L2 permissions are intended for Admins supporting agency operations at a supervisory or management level.
