Steps for staying covered

Review renewal notices, update your application, compare and choose a plan, and submit verification documents to maintain your existing coverage.

  1. Review renewal notices
    • Before Open Enrollment starts, look for letters or emails from Georgia Access and your insurance company.
    • These notices detail changes to premiums and estimated financial assistance.
  2. Update your application
    • Log in to your Georgia Access account or contact your agent, web broker, or insurance company to review and update your information for the upcoming year. This is a critical step to ensure your estimated income and financial assistance is accurate.
  3. Compare and choose a plan
    • The plan that was the best fit this year may not be the best for the upcoming year.
    • Compare all available plans to find the one that best fits your family’s needs and budget.
  4. Turn in your documents on time If needed
    • If your information doesn’t match, you’ll get a notice asking for proof like pay stubs, a passport, or a driver’s license. Send these documents quickly to keep your enrollment going. View the full list of verification documents.
