You may designate an authorized representative to help you with your application, make enrollment decisions on your behalf, and represent you for all inquires and activities related to your health coverage on Georgia Access.
If you designate someone as your authorized representative, all notices and communications about your application and eligibility will go to your authorized representative instead of you. Both you and the person you designate must agree and provide documentation attesting to this designation.
Who can be an authorized representative?
An authorized representative can be a friend, family member, or someone else you trust.
Note: Appointing a certified Navigator or Certified Application Counselor (CAC) as your authorized representative prohibits them from operating in their official capacity as an assister.
How can I designate someone as my authorized representative?
You can designate an authorized representative online on your Georgia Access application or by completing and mailing Appendix C of the Georgia Access Paper Application (coming soon) or completing the relevant section in the Georgia Access Consumer Appeal Request Form.
How do I remove my authorized representative?
If you need to change or remove your authorized representative, you may contact the Georgia Access contact center at 888-687-1503 (TTY Line 771).
